Weekly Update October 28, 2012

Students will be involved this week with Pumpkin Decorating and the Costume Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 31 p.m.  Students can dress up for the parade but we ask that the costumes be appropriate for school:  no masks, blood, weapons, witches or ghosts.

Along with our theme this year, "Christ Serves Us, Christ Serves Through Us", we will be collecting items for CLWR (Canadian Lutheran World Relief) to assemble We Care School Supply Kits.  For October we ask students to bring in sets of 3 lined notebooks.  November is sets of 10 unsharpened pencils, a sharpener and an eraser.  The collection bucket is outside of Ms. Meilleur's door.

Please also remember Rehimet, our Compassion Canada sponsor child.  We would like to collect $1.00/month from the students.  If it is easier to bring it as one lump sum, please do so.

ELA--Students have completed their rough drafts of their creative writing assignment for Halloween and have had it proof read by me and a peer. They will complete the final copy and present on Wednesday.  We are continuing with our Short Stories unit which includes social skills.
