Weekly Update April 29, 2013

ELA--We have finished Tuck Everlasting and students will work on their final projects and present them this week. We will watch the movie on Friday to have a comparison discussion between the book and the movie on Monday.  Spelling Test on Week #29 & #30 words on Friday.

Math--Gr. 7--Students will complete Ch. 10--Patterns and Expressions this week.


Math--Gr. 8--Students will complete Ch. 10--Solving Linear Equations this week.

Social Studies--Students are working through Ch. 6--Democratic Citizenship and will finish this week with a research question in regards to Women's Right to Vote.

CLWR--April Collection--Money for Shipping


ELA--The students are working through a class novel study including literature circle positions on Tuck Everlasting. Meeting #3 will be tomorrow.  Four Reader Responses are due on Thursday, Apr. 29.

Math--Gr. 7--Students have started Ch. 10--Patterns and Expressions.  They should finish this chapter by the end of the month.

Math--Gr. 8--Students have started Ch. 10--Solving Linear Equations.  They should finish this chapter by the end of the month.


Social Studies--Students are working through Ch. 6--Democratic Citizenship.

CLWR--April Collection--Money for Shipping


ELA--The students have started a class novel study including literature circle positions on Tuck Everlasting.  We will be reading the novel in class and working through the questions, vocabulary and having literature circle meetings for discussion through the next two weeks. Four Reader Responses are due on Thursday, Apr. 25.

Math--Gr. 7--Students are completing Ch. 9--Adding and Subtracting Integers and will have a test on Tuesday.

Math--Gr. 8--Students are completing Ch. 9--Linear Relations and will have a test on Tuesday.


Social Studies--Students will complete presenting their Ethnicity Projects on Monday and will start Ch. 6--Democratic Citizenship, on Tuesday.
