October 13-16

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Here's a look at the short week ahead of us.

In chapel the theme will be water (Baptism).
In math, grade 7's will be learning order of operation, and the grade 8's will be preparing for a test on ratios and rates.
In language arts, we will continue studies from our book called "True Courage".  Our spelling words are taken from the book.
In science, we will be examining leaves and water movement in plants.

This coming Friday we will have someone come teach about Anti-Bullying.

Please note that there will be no shops this week.

A special thanks to everyone who helped decorate for Thanksgiving.  We will leave this beautiful display up for the month.

If you happen to come into the school this week, you can see your child's poems and Bible verses  in the hallway.  Also notice the bulletin board of recommendations that the students created outside our classroom door.

I hope you have a great week!

Our class had a great time going to MTYP this week.  We saw an outstanding show called "Danny in the Basement".  It got us thinking about such topics as poverty, friendships, our imagination and self-esteem.
